Biography and Medical Education
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Güncel Öztürk is an Istanbul Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery specialist, European board-certified surgeon and founder of HairNeva, with a detailed education and publication record.
Güncel Öztürk was born in Istanbul in 1979 and grew up in an artistic environment influenced by his sculptor father. He graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2003 and entered the same faculty's Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery programme after ranking first in the relevant specialty examination.
During the six-year residency, he trained in rhinoplasty and facial aesthetics at Yale University New Haven Hospital in 2006 and the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital in 2007. He completed plastic-surgery specialization in 2009, then served at Malatya Military Hospital and Sivas Numune Hospital.
Öztürk passed the Turkish plastic-surgery qualification in 2010 and the two-stage European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery process in Brussels in 2010 and Marseille in 2011. He received the associate-professor title in 2024.
He founded Dr. GO Clinic, Dr. GO Smile and HairNeva, the latter providing hair-transplant services. His publication record includes plastic-surgery research and work concerning self-esteem and body perception in men who underwent hair transplantation. HairNeva service availability does not alone establish his personal performance of every operative stage.
