Biography and Medical Education
Prof. Dr. Tuğrul Maral is an Istanbul-based Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery specialist, former university and hospital department head, and founder of Maral Hair Clinic.
Maral entered Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1981 and graduated as a physician in 1988. He continued Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery training at Hacettepe, qualifying as a specialist in 1995.
He led Plastic Surgery and coordinated surgical departments at Başkent University Hospital from 1995 to 2006, was appointed associate professor in 2002 and later headed Plastic Surgery at Anadolu Hospital in Istanbul from 2006 to 2009. Kafkas University's current academic system lists him as professor and head of its Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery department.
He established Maral Hair Clinic in Istanbul in 2008. The clinic publishes a team-based FUE model in which Maral handles consultation, surgical planning, preliminary hairline design, supervision, safety and follow-up.
