Medical Specialty
The official medical specialty is recorded separately from hair transplantation. “Hair Transplant Specialist” is not used as a medical specialty; it describes a clinical focus or role, not a Turkish residency branch.

Techniques
Technique labels are tracked separately from medical specialty and operative responsibility. A check mark identifies a technique verified in the current research record; a question mark means it has not yet been verified for this doctor.
Doctor Involvement
These five stages are tracked separately. A check mark means the doctor’s personal involvement is verified; a question mark means the public evidence is not yet sufficient to confirm that stage.
Procedures
Procedure types are shown only where the doctor's current record supports them. Unverified beard, eyebrow or revision work remains marked with a question mark rather than being inferred from clinic-wide services.
Biography and Medical Education
Dr. Osman Tayfun Oğuzoğlu is an Istanbul hair-restoration physician, ABHRS Diplomate and FISHRS whose official professional record traces medical education to Gazi University and hair-transplant practice to the 1990s.
Osman Tayfun Oğuzoğlu studied at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine from 1983 to 1990 and graduated in 1990. A published professional chronology places him in FUT hair surgery between 1990 and 1998, while his clinic biography describes exclusive concentration on hair transplantation from 1998. These sources differ slightly in how they describe the earliest practice period, so both are preserved with attribution.
He founded the DrT hair-restoration organisation in 1998. His technique chronology records six years of FUT work, transition to FUE in 2003, concentration on FUE from 2004 and adoption of motorised FUE in 2007. The official biography later identifies Long Hair FUE or fully unshaven FUE as a principal area of work from 2017 onward.
A detailed professional record lists work at Marmara Hair Transplant and Aesthetic Surgery from 1990 to 1998, Flavius Hair Transplant and Aesthetic Surgery from 1998 to 2006 and DrT Hair Transplant Clinic from 2007 onward. It also records international periods at Ailesbury Hair Clinic in London and Dublin, Aesthetica Clinic in Dubai, a Cyprus clinic and a later Dubai hair-transplant centre.
His education and teaching record includes hair-restoration training in Orlando in 1998, laser-aesthetic training in the United States in 1999, training with DHI Clinic in Greece in 2000, a Turkish Ministry of Health medical-aesthetics and hair-surgery certificate in 2004 and trichoscopy education in Mexico in 2022. The biography also credits him with organising an early Turkish FUE workshop and training more than 50 physicians; the training count remains provider-reported.
The official roster supplied by the directory owner lists Oğuzoğlu as an ISHRS Fellow Member. His provider biography records ISHRS committee work, chairing the 2016 Istanbul regional FUE workshop and co-chairing a 2019 cadaver and live-surgery workshop. It also records two ISHRS awards in 2016 and FISHRS status in 2018.
Oğuzoğlu's ABHRS Diplomate status is reported after a two-stage examination in 2017 and is shown separately from ISHRS membership. His public record further identifies him as president of the Turkish Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons from 2020. Current office and committee terms remain subject to periodic re-verification.

- Credential membershipABHRS Diplomate, FISHRS Fellow and ISHRS Member records are verified in the directory evidence set.
- TeachingWorkshop chair/co-chair roles and a provider-reported record of training more than 50 physicians.
- Technique chronologyFUT, manual and motorised FUE, then Long Hair FUE are documented across dated provider biographies.
Operating Model
The ISHRS record describes hair-transplant practice beginning in 1996, experience with FUT and FUE, and later work with long-hair and non-shaven FUE methods. It also documents FISHRS status, ABHRS Diplomate status and congress participation.
These facts establish a substantial physician record. They do not identify the operator for every extraction and implantation session at the current clinic, which remains a treatment-plan question.
This is an operating-model classification, not a quality ranking, safety guarantee or recommendation. The actual team can vary by date, package and patient.

Public Record and Discussion
We separate official records, provider claims and patient testimony. Discussion themes describe what is publicly documented; they are not findings of clinical fault or proof of treatment quality.
Long-hair and non-shaven FUE
Oğuzoğlu's public professional identity is strongly associated with these approaches. Technique expertise is recorded separately from the patient-specific division of labour.
Large procedure-count claim
The ISHRS biography includes a very large cumulative session figure. It is treated as physician-submitted information, not an audited outcome metric.
Review scope last checked 29 August 2026. Anonymous reports are treated as testimony and are not converted into verified facts about a doctor or clinic.
